About the Perfumer
Tilda Publishing
Julia Karpova has been an independent perfumer since 2018 and is a graduate of the renowned perfumery school in Grasse. Her creative life unfolds between Cannes and Saint Petersburg, where she masterfully blends French elegance with the richness of Russian cultural tradition.
In 2018, she founded Ess-Bouquet, a creative laboratory of artistic perfumery where classical craftsmanship intertwines with artistic exploration and the creator’s intuition.
A historic milestone was the creation of the first Russian fragrance collection for the legendary French house Dorin, Paris 1780. This breakthrough opened a new chapter in the dialogue between the two countries in the field of perfumery art and confirmed Julia’s high level of professional excellence.
International recognition followed after successful presentations at major industry exhibitions:
  • Esxence — The Art Perfumery Event, Milan — the key global forum of niche perfumery
  • TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, Cannes — a leading trade fair for luxury brands
Alongside her author collections, Julia develops fragrances for businesses. Her clients include fashion boutiques, real estate agencies, beauty salons, automotive dealers, and other premium brands. Each project becomes a unique expression of the client’s identity, where fragrance serves as a powerful branding and emotional storytelling tool.
Under Julia’s direction, Ess-Bouquet evolves as a modern house of perfumery art, creating not only signature fragrances but also concepts of olfactory identity for brands and cultural projects.
For Julia, perfumery is more than a craft — it is a language for speaking about memory, inspiration, and beauty. Her mission is to merge tradition and innovation, creating fragrances that become part of cultural heritage and inspire new generations.
